My brother Brian sent me a cartoon he has drawn

The ABC Local Radio in Canberra (666 - the Radio with the Devil's Call Sign) has a "Fierce Quill" cartoon competition running at the moment.

Very clever - the unpalatable doesn't seem to pass their lips but they have no difficulty implementing it.

Hi Brigid
Glad you liked it. Brian will be pleased.
I am nervous as heck about the what I believe is the likely outcome.
Australia seems to be a series of City States, now. Each ruled by an unpopular leader. The only difference is in the degree of unpopularity.
Bligh is clearly on the nose, and rightly so for what she is doing on coal, and probably many other things I don't know about.
Kennealy is likewise unpopular for everything wrong with Sydney, plus coal in the Hunter, Liverpool and Mudgee and Sthn Coal fields. Did I mention trains?
Looks like Brumby is a relative tower of virtue and financial rectitude, which is ironic, if you know the background on the trains deals, as you do, and the Desal plant, and the gross excess of the recent plant to enlarge Melbourne's civic boundaries.

REMEMBER: "IT IS BY BEING QUIET AND POLITE CITIZENS WE ALLOW OURSELVES TO BE IGNORED"
